I’ve finally decided. I’m going to do Weight Watchers. Before I had Bubby I told everyone (including myself) that I’d do Weight Watchers when he completed the grand “exit.” I admit, the main draw was this post by Hola Isabel. And…I have recognized that I have a serious problem with SELF CONTROL. As in, I have none. I think to myself, “I NEED A TOASTY GRINDER” and I go get one. I see some chips and I eat them. I eat while watching a movie to enhance the experience. I will not disclose how many bags of my favorite Easter candy I have already had this year.
I lost weight steadily after I had Camper because of the miracle of breastfeeding. A good round of Mastitis along with a reality check led me to start him on bottle feeding, and the days of eating all and everything ended. I know. Sad. I also lost weight when I first came to MA because of the sudden addition of steps to my life (how pathetic, that I would actually lose weight because I have to go down and then up two flights of stairs to do laundry, but it’s true. I did) and a ceasefire in snacking. I just wasn’t a snacker. It only lasted so long- so although I am down 20 lbs. from my pregnancy weight…I gained 2 of those pounds back in the last week. I am on my way to yo-yo land, and I need to get it under control. NOW.
So Weight Watchers it is. I will have meetings. There will be accountability. I will have to look people in the face and feel bad for the Whopper I snuck during the week. Plus, they will give me ideas for dinner. Which is always fun. For the record, the total weight loss I want to acheive is 18 lbs. That will get me to the weight that I was when I got married. I would probably still like to lose weight from there, but that will get me back into the healthy range and then I can set more goals from there. I will keep you all updated on how it goes!

Good luck to you. I love WW and you know, they have a new(ish) plan.
Just make sure you keep in mind that you are also dealing with more than just wieght gain. Do not go overboard, you will do fine. I lLove ya
I’d love to know if you’d go with the new plan, or the original points one (or which one you are doing if you’re still doing it). I’m hoping it gets me to stick with something- as I’ve failed at every other diet plan, ever. Except for Lent. And I’m not even Catholic!
