Yes. I just moved my child’s furniture while he was sleeping.

So we finally got the stupid brackets to make my child’s crib less like a death trap. Ridiculous. ANYWAY. While reassembling the crib John and I decided (he was reassembling, I was not) that we should just go ahead and move Camper’s crib down lower now, as he is learning to sit up on his own, and then we can avoid it a few months from now. So we do…and I realize that he is now in a prime position to play with the electrical cords behind his crib. Before, they were completely out of his reach. After the lower-ment(?) they were in his face begging, “Play with me!”

So as John fed Camper, I moved his room around. Everything in his room. I couldn’t just move one thing- the room isn’t shaped like that! When we were done (John helped with the big brown chair) I put le baby in his crib because he wouldn’t calm down in my arms. He rolled over and went right to sleep! Maybe the new crib position is magic! And then I realize: he’s right up against the heating vent. My heatbox baby has a blowdryer up his rear as soon as the heat kicks on.  So, once again, I enlist John who has to get a TOOL and crawl behind the crib to close the vent, which requires us to move Camper’s crib. While he’s sleeping in it. And the funny thing is, he stayed asleep! Maybe it IS magic!

There are a few kinks to work out. For instance, the spit rags and the iPod that used to be right next to the comfy chair are now across the room from it, and I have to rearrange a picture or two, and the whole thing needs a good vacuum…but I think it’s good. Good times.
