Weight Watchers Update

Or, as my brother calls it…Weights Watchers.

So yes, I’ve been going every week, and yes, I’ve been losing every week.  So far my total weight loss is 8.4 lbs…(more the day of my colonsocopy, but that 5lbs. came back, as expected.)  I’ve hit TWO milestones, -5lbs. AND loss of 5% of my body weight.  (Now for you mathies, you can figure me out, at least ballpark anyway.) Nothing too glamorous, but I’m happy with it.

This week though, it’s a fight for the first time.  The problem is, with feeling sick and anticipating the day of fasting and gatorade for le procedure on Tuesday, I haven’t been so good at tracking or staying within my points.  ALSO, my point allowance has gone down, because I entered a new weight category.  For example, if you weight 100 lbs. (which I do NOT) you get 10 points towards your total, and added with a bunch of other things (factoring in your daily activity level, your age, etc.) you get your total points allowance for the day.  BUT, if you lose 10 lbs. and end up being 90 lbs…you then get 9 points to start with.  Make sense?  So yes.  I lost my 8ish lbs. and am somehow now getting TWO points less a day.  Whatever.

So it’s back to basics for me.  I got my emergency zero point snacks ready (veggies and hard boiled egg whites, although scrambled egg whites are 1 point, who knows why?) and am trying to “plan” my meals again.  I still have to think of something for dinner.

Also, I’m measuring again.  Which is leaving me a bit hungry.  Reflecting on the last couple of days, though, my eating habits (eating whatever, whenever)(went all Shakira there for a sec) have left me LESS satisfied than the previous weeks when I measured and chose and paid attention to everything I was eating.  Although…I am still hungry right now.  So I might eat something else and hope that I get full at some point today…before my points run out.

So it’s time to get busy, drink more water, and plan and enjoy my food again.  Back on the bandwagon. (Was I ever really off?  Nah.)

*Other noteworthy milestone: I can fit into my favorite pre-pregnancy pants.  They are a wee tighter than they used to be, but they are on, and they defnitely fit.  No sucking it in to zip them up or anything!
