Where the crap did you guys go? It is not cool to just bum out while you’re on the job. You’ve played this game before, where you slowly disappear, one by one until we find you all in the diaper bag or in the carseat. But this time you are seriously no where to be found. We found your lone kamikaze friend, sitting right in the middle of the living room floor. Makes me think you are all in the open, just taunting me. But when it’s 3am and the one “glow in the dark” (my BUTT) member of your team that still remains goes MIA, you are not going to like what you see. Not even a little bit. Consider yourself warned.

(As I crawl around the floor of my FINALLY SLEEPING BABY’S crib with the smallest flashlight imaginable, I have yet another reason to be happy that I’m 12 lbs. lighter. The curves and crevices of furniture are a lot easier to maneuver. But still…haven’t found the missing pacis….)

The pacifiers are among the best when it comes to Hiding. I know Sean is constantly asking me where they are when it is he who had them last and finally I find them on the table next to the basketball hoop. Good Luck.
Maybe they are hanging out with all those baby socks I can’t fine… My mom (who had 7 kids) said she would “saturate” the house with pacis, so at any given moment she could just reach out and find one. Kinda funny. Luckily, my kid likes his finger, which never gets lost (but also which I can never take away).
Sorry about the sleep thing. Yeah, that regression was really rough for me (that’s assuming it’s over). You are totally right–you can only give what you have, and they will survive some crying.
And we found two behind the crib, stuck between the slats and the wall…one in the plastic tree toy (who knew?), and one in the car seat. Add that to the two we had…and I think that’s all we own. Maybe. Is it bad that I don’t even know how many pacis we have? At least they all came back!
