Anyone Else?

Every night when I go to bed I find another bruise or red mark from being attacked by my vampire child.  He is getting stronger, and doesn’t know that he’s hurting us with his playing (AND biting!!)  Am I alone in this, or do all kids go through an accidental violent phase when they become more mobile?  My least favorite trick: throwing his head back into my teeth.  At least I don’t have braces like my Mom did when she had me!

Ouch peeps.  At least he gives lots of kisses, too.

I remember those days. Sometimes I think they just love you so much that they want a big big kiss. They don’t realize that biting isn’t the way to get it.
My youngest, yes my 15 year old, still likes to come “bite” me. She “bites” my shoulder and stays attached for a minute or so. Strange to me but she says there is something comforting about it. I guess it’s better that her yelling at me.

While my brother breastfed he had a nasty habit of punching my mother in the nose…hard. Thank goodness he grew out of it!

Wow, I just found your blog and I love it! My daughter went through a biting phase right around the time she switched from crawling to walking…almost like she needed to grab on with SOMETHING to keep herself from falling, and her teeth were all she could manage! (Like the time she was trying to prevent herself from sliding down my leg and sank her little pins-and-needles teeth in to my thigh. Ow.) Luckily, it’s just a phase!!

Princess is in the phase of grabbing my face and trying to eat it off. It’s not only my face but others as well. The only good thing is no teeth yet. But if I haven’t cut her nails in a couple of days well you can imagine. It is so cute at the same time I have a hard time stopping her.
