So I went on a REAL LIVE DATE with my husband on Wednesday. We drove down to Fairfield University for a reading hosted by the MFA program. John introduced one of the authors, and I was nervous (as if I had to do it, not him) until he was done. He did a really good job. It was fun to meet people that he spends his residencies with and just feel like a grownup again for a little while. You know, the kind with a brain and thinking and enjoyment of literature as opposed to the kind that is covered in baby liquids and thinking about diapering and nap schedules. Driving down and back was so nice- just talking and joking and not worrying about the Bubbs getting restless in the car. It was just
nice.
So now I’m just trying to get a few things going on that I’ve been meaning to finish. An Advent calendar for Camper, reformatting my hard drive, organizing photos. You know, all that kind of stuff. Welcome to the weekend, all.
