I just put Camper in his crib for his after afternoon nap. He’s currently jabbering away to himself and hitting what I suppose to be his pacifier on the slats. The other day he flipped himself over while doing this, pinned one arm beneath him and trapped the other one in the crib slats, and I knew from his cry that something NEW was wrong. He wasn’t in any danger, per say, just hideously uncomfortable, stuck, and freaked out. Wouldn’t you be? So now I’m just waiting to see if he’ll fall asleep for his evening nap or start screaming…we will see. He’s normally pretty good at this whole nap thing, so fingers crossed he’ll get a wee nap in before bedtime. Takes the edge off.
Today has been pretty busy. The normal mix of laundry, food shopping (new produce place, not sure how much I like it yet), and running to the mall to get a few odds and ends. My errand today was spending my giftcard at Lands End. I decided against a bathing suit, since I didn’t LOVE any of them and refuse to order from the catalog again. I hated the way the shoes felt, and didn’t want to buy pants since I am actively losing weight (again…after gaining some…again…). So I ended up with something Camper picked out for me. It was one of the few things I was drawn to in the store, and when I put it on he clapped. Haha. I figure hey, I’m not into buying raincoats- so why not use a giftcard to get a cool one that I would DEFINTELY never buy unless it was…well…free? I’m pretty happy with it. We shall see.

I also started studying for the GRE a little more intensely today, which was good. It isn’t as overwhelming as it seems, which is also good. I’m just hoping to do well. I hope I hope. (August 8th is the day people, August 8th.)
